Serving as the CEO of Emancipet is an immense privilege. I work with committed, brilliant & joyful people to build more humane communities - where every pet owner has access to vet care and other resources to keep their pets happy, healthy, and at home for a lifetime, regardless of how much money they have or where
Serving as the CEO of Emancipet is an immense privilege. I work with committed, brilliant & joyful people to build more humane communities - where every pet owner has access to vet care and other resources to keep their pets happy, healthy, and at home for a lifetime, regardless of how much money they have or where they live.
We open low cost Spay/Neuter & Healthy Pet Clinics inside underserved neighborhoods. So far, we have clinics in Austin, Pflugerville, Killeen, and Houston, Texas. Once a clinic is open, we create customized, human-centered outreach programs to share information with pet owners who have never had access to, or information about, veterinary care. This work saves lives by reducing unwanted litters & shelter intake, but it also makes life better for every pet and person we serve.
One of the things I love most about my role is building the culture at Emancipet. It's rooted in our foundational belief (people will do the right thing for pets when given the opportunity), and our core values: Compassionate Service, Teaching & Learning, Excellence, and Optimism. Teaching others about building healthy organizational culture is a passion for me, too.
I also love co-creating a better world for animals with our donors, partners, and other stakeholders. There's nothing more exciting than creating a new project or initiative that lines up a donor or partner's values with our own, and getting results greater than we could ever achieve alone.
I think the work we do changes the game for animals and the people who love them. It's a whole new way of looking at the challenges of animal homelessness. We are always looking for new team members, board members, advocates, donors, and volunteers. If our culture and strategy speaks to you, let's talk!
I also love to talk/learn about: yoga, veganism, mindfulness, social innovation & entrepreneurship, non-profit revenue models, and where to get the best cocktails in Austin
