She first worked in the customer data entry area of a software company, then moved on to a customer support position. She most recently worked as a software engineer at Microsoft. In her time at Microsoft, she had the opportunity to work with Mentor, UCLA Section at Society of Women Engineers, and to mentor students in various ways. She is also a member of the UCLA Engineering Alumni Association and the UCLA Engineering multi-campus council.Amy was also a member of the committee that created the UCLA Engineering Alumni Association and the UCLA Engineering multi-campus council. She also served as the Mentorship Chair for two years. She also organized a few workshops and socials for her fellow officers.

Amy Lin's educational background and work readiness includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from University of California, Los Angeles in 2010. After completing her undergraduate studies, Lin worked as a research scientist at Google for span of three years.
