I enjoy learning and I adapt quickly to new areas. I'm persistent when I encounter problems. If I don't know how to do something, I'll learn how to do it. I'm not afraid to ask for help when I need it, but I try my best to solve the issue by myself first.
I'm most interested in the software business (more specifically web development) at the moment, but I enjoy exploring new areas and I am open minded.
Additionally, was involved in search engine optimization for key landing pages. From September 2009 to July 2010 (11 months) Research Assistant (UROP) @ Helped build an online community around the programming language, Scratch, which is used to create games, stories, and programs. Designed and built a resistance sensor for a toy camera that encourages experimentation. From 2008 to 2009 (1 year) Intern @ Studied the dissociation of photoacid under UV light to change pH without increasing/decreasing concentration. Researched capture and release of a fluorescently labeled vitamin using protein-bound magnetic beads suspended in a microfluidic device, the first step towards purifying DNA. From June 2008 to August 2008 (3 months) Intern @ Designed and tested a new process to treat waste from the fabrication plant (fab), which involved testing the effectiveness of new feed solvents for denitrification for a membrane
bioreactor pilot project. Developed a model for ultra pure water in the fab using Excel VBA. From 2007 to 2007 (less than a year) Intern @ Studied proteins in human blood using an inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer. From June 2006 to July 2006 (2 months)
