From 2005 to 2007 (2 years) Public Affairs Associate @ In this position, I managed portions of client accounts for a K Street marketing, lobbying and fundraising firm. Our work focused on energy, developing economies, and Africa.
In my position, I attended pitch meetings, wrote and edited proposals for new business, letters of invitation for events, fundraising transmittal letters, proposals, and reports. My accounts included Church World Service, the U.S. Dept of Energy, the Walter Sisulu Scholarship Fund, Education Africa USA and USDA Graduate School.
One of my most exciting projects while working in the position included a trip to Dakar, Senegal during anniversary of AGOA (Africa Growth and Opportunity Act) to produce and record a panel on behalf of AMA's client. From 2004 to 2006 (2 years) Public Relations Coordinator @ I managed public relations tasks for the scholarship and events programs in the Congressional Black Caucus Spouses office, including the planning of panels, writing of press releases, newsletter articles and event scripts for our fund raising events.
