Currently connecting talent with opportunity at Accenture! I obtained my BComm at the Ted Rogers School of Management in 2014 with a major in Human Resources and a minor in Professional Communications. Specialties: • Recruitment, Screening and Selection • Resume and LinkedIn Advising • Professional Presentations • Organizational Development • LeadershipCampus Recruitment Coordinator @ Recruiting entry-level talent for those interested in consulting as a career after university. Coming to a Canadian university campus near you! My main responsibilities on the team include putting together exciting initiatives and events across Canada, from large scale interview days at the Vancouver office to small networking sessions at a local restaurant in the heart of downtown Toronto. I frequently use Taleo to perform recruitment tasks such as posting job opportunities, pre-screening candidates, creating job offers and helping on-board successful candidates. From May 2014 to Present (1 year 8 months) Toronto, Canada AreaHuman Resources Administrator @ After successfully completing my internship with Natural Markets Food Group (NMFG) I was given another opportunity to continue working for the company as a part-time HR Administrator while in school, working on special HR-related projects. These projects helped to increase my knowledge of employment and labour laws in Canada and the U.S. In addition, I assisted the Richtree Natural Markets Restaurant team with on-boarding activities (includes orientation, employee paper work, distribution of uniforms and employee I.D cards), monitoring assessments which are taken by potential candidates, and other various HR-related tasks. From September 2013 to May 2014 (9 months) Toronto, Canada AreaDirector of Analyst Recruitment @ I worked with a small group of outstanding student leaders at Ryerson University who share a passion for Finance. I have assisted in the development and execution of the recruitment process for the 2013-2014 Capital Markets Group (CMG) Analyst Program. Also, I have applied my knowledge that I have gained through academics and past student group involvement by screening well over 30 applications. In the future I will be assisting the executive team with succession management, LinkedIn Profile Advising and resume advice. From April 2013 to May 2014 (1 year 2 months) Toronto, Canada AreaAdministrative Assistant @ Having worked at Downtown Subaru for over 5 years, I was given the opportunity to develop my skills in all functions of an automotive dealership company. I have gained exposure to the sales process as well as parts of the service sector. Also I have gained experience using ADP Alliance to update customer profiles and Subaru vehicles coming in and out of the dealership so that the sales representatives are always up-to-date on what vehicles are left on the lot. • Responsible for maintaining the company's social media platforms in order to continuously build awareness of the brand. • Assisted in customer service functions to increase sales by answering customer questions regarding new and used vehicles such as pricing, models and availability of stock • Responsible for recording and organizing all Kitchener Honda Warranty claims to maintain a high level of accuracy and organization of company documents. From March 2009 to May 2014 (5 years 3 months) Toronto, Canada AreaHuman Resources Intern @ As an HR Intern I was given the opportunity to be part of a team that lead the mass recruitment for the opening of the Richtree Natural Markets Restaurant in the Toronto Eaton Centre. In addition, I assisted with recruiting well over 200 employees for this specific project. One of my most proudest moments was increasing the efficiency of the overall screening process. I did this by introducing and implementing an online program that is now used by potential candidates to carry out their assessments online. This significantly decreased the time needed to mark individual assessments that were originally done by hand, due to the program automatically marking them instead. The online program also significantly reduced the amount of paper required in the recruitment process, which supports one of the Natural Market Food Group's core values- to be environmentally responsible. From June 2013 to September 2013 (4 months) Toronto, Canada AreaVice President of Human Resources @ I am currently assisting Real Estate Ryerson as an HR Advisor to the new executive team. I mainly provide advice and training to the new VP of HR when needed. During my time as the VP of HR I recruited, screened and selected well over 20 talented student leaders at Ryerson University to take on volunteer positions in the organization. In this role I created membership contracts, interview rating templates, resume screening documents and recruitment ads that have helped build the professionalism and standardization of RER's recruiting and selection processes. • Creator of the RER Human Resources department consisting of key members to address various student group issues such as membership engagement and progressive discipline policies • Developed a standardized recruitment process which allows the organization to minimize biases in order to give equal opportunity to all students who wish to join or move up within the organization. From November 2011 to May 2013 (1 year 7 months) Toronto, Canada AreaLinkedIn Profile Advisor @ As one of the first to take on the new role of a LinkedIn Profile Advisor I have assisted a variety of current students and alumni from various programs with creating or improving their LinkedIn profiles. I advise them on what is necessary in order to not only create a completed profile at all-star level, but to also go beyond the minimum requirements so they may appeal more to employers, companies and industry professionals that are of interest to them. In my spare time I also do my best to stay up to date with current news revolving LinkedIn and other social media platforms used by employers for recruitment purposes so that I can better advise students. I assisted in training the incoming new LinkedIn Profile Advisors through prepared written materials I created, on-the-job shadowing, and other various training methods. From October 2012 to March 2013 (6 months) Vice President of Human Resources @ I was given the opportunity to recruit, screen and select over 40 student volunteer applicants and over 150 delegate applications. For the volunteers, I conducted group interviews to select the best candidates possible, while also assigning them positions, tasks and responsibilities for the night of the conference. I also created an application screening document for the delegate screening process to guide the selection of top tier candidates to attend the conference. During the conference I lead the volunteer team by monitoring each member to ensure there were constant rotations for breaks to reduce burn out. • Assisted in the delegation of various duties and tasks to each volunteer to ensure that the conference was executed smoothly and successfully. • Spearheaded the Delegate Screening Committee (DSC) which consisted of three Vice Presidents of Human Resources from various student affiliated groups at Ryerson University to ensure constant communication within the group • Responsible for maintaining a positive, harmonious relationship with all members across different departments which boosted the commitment and energy of each individual throughout the planning and execution stages of the event From September 2012 to November 2012 (3 months) Vice President of Human Resources @ • Recruited top tier students at Ryerson University for several positions within the organization to volunteer in the planning and operation of the student group • Created bylaws for the new student organization to assist in the development of the organization From January 2012 to September 2012 (9 months) Toronto, Canada AreaBachelor's Degree, Human Resources Major @ Ryerson University From 2010 to 2014 Riverdale Alysa Teves is skilled in: Leadership, Organizational Development, Screening, Organizational Behavior, Customer Service, Student Recruiting, Communication Skills, Student Involvement, Student Engagement, Recruiting, Microsoft Office, Time Management, Recruitment Advertising, Membership Growth, Resume Writing
