Alpaslan has over 16 years banking experience developing and supporting large-scale systems across Interest Rate Swaps, Securities, Futures, CDS and Bank Loans. Over his career, he has worked in technology groups spanning Middle Office, Trading, Sales and Electronic Trading, both on the buy side and broker dealer. He has a broad and deep understanding of fixed income products and downstream flows, working closely with Traders, Sales, Strategists/Quants, Compliance, Legal, Operations, Controllers and Internal Audit.
He has most recently transitioned to Internal Audit as a Capital Markets Technology Auditor. Prior to this position, he was head of European Interest Rate Derivatives and Securities Trading, Sales and E-Dealing Technology. The role demanded strong oversight, whilst still remaining very much in the detail and hands on, getting involved in requirements gathering, analysis, design, testing, overall project planning and stakeholder management. His strong analytical, project and people management skills have been vital to the success of the numerous projects and tasks he has undertaken.
