💼 Past Experience
Allan Peng's Work experiences:I started my engineering career in August 2015 as a Technical Owner of a core Automatic Speech Recognition server product using C++/Boost and Kaldi. I built out the core features including support for various audio encodings, fix Concurrency Bugs, and implemented new Speaker Diarization(segmentation) system, improving Error rate from 15% to 4% during the course of my engineering internship at LinkedIn from May2015 to August2015. I also trained HMM-Neural Net systems to transcribe English and Spanish during my prior engineering career at UC Berkeley College of Engineering from June2013 to December2014.In June 2018, I started working at UC Berkeley as a Research Software Engineer for Remeeting in Berkeley, California, United States. At UC Berkeley, I'm responsible for the technical owner of the core Automatic Speech Recognition server product, as well as the build out of the core features including support for various audio encodings, fix Concurrency Bugs, and implemented new Speaker Diarization(segmentation) system, improving Error rate from 15% to 4%. I also teach undergrads how to use LaTeX during their engineering internships at LinkedIn, and participate in various UC Berkeley Research projects.
