acting as a communications partner to all departments. Key achievements:
Improved European newsletter:
• Grew audience reach from 3,000 employees to all Staples Europe (10,000).
• Improved look & feel through graphic design and introduced more engaging
content, including campaign materials and social media content.
• Introduced analytics monitoring and increased unique click rate by 300% over the
course of six months.
Expanding intranet:
• Single-handedly project manage the launch of the intranet in three countries in
Europe.
• Acted as liaison between global IT and the content owners in the three countries.
• Created an employee engagement program which uses Instagram to showcase and connect

Technology communications:
• Created and implemented a communications plan for the transition from 19
different mobile phone providers across Europe to one. The transition meant that
employees had to physically switch their SIM-cards. Despite depending on user
behavior, the project was successful with minimal disruption and the
communications were praised by European Leadership Team.
• Created and implemented a communications plan for the roll-out of Office 365.
• Created communication guidelines for the Technology department as part of their
objective to increase internal customer service.
• Was awarded Silver Coin (common means of recognizing excellence in Staples) by
the President of Staples Europe, for hard work and excellent content. From February 2015 to Present (11 months) Amsterdam Area, NetherlandsInterim Internal Communications Officer, Global Internal Communications @ My main responsibilities were to support on project and event management, as well as manage
the Global Internal Communications budget and planning. Key achievements:
• Coordinated the celebration of HEINEKEN’s 150th anniversary. Deliverables were a time
capsule with employee contributions and a staff party with the Heineken family as honorary
guests. Planning time was 3 weeks, 250 guests attended and highlights were communicated
globally.
• Planning, coordination and implementation of the first global Enjoy Responsibly Day – a
company-wide event activated in 20+ markets world-wide around responsible consumption.
• Planned and implemented multiple internal town halls, attended by up to 600 people with
remote broadcasting to other locations.
• Assisted in the development of the online employee advocacy platform Greenroom
(greenroom.heineken.com). From September 2014 to February 2015 (6 months) Amsterdam Area, NetherlandsGlobal Internal Communications Intern @ At HEINEKEN’s global head office in Amsterdam, Netherlands, I assisted the global internal
communications team with a focus on employee advocacy, leadership communications and the
global intranet. Internship was initially six months but was extended and eventually turned into
temporary work contract. Key achievements include:
• Managed the intranet upgrade communications campaign and was creative lead and agency
liaison. End product was a communication pack for 25 markets including videos, posters, a
new intranet logo and several supporting documents. These assets were adopted by the
markets and used in their local communication channels.
• As part of my Bachelor’s thesis I carried out an extensive global research project on
employee advocacy within HEINEKEN. The recommendations were well received and
adopted.
• Created a Social Media Quick Reference Card infographic (part of my thesis
recommendations) for global use to encourage online advocacy among employees. From January 2014 to September 2014 (9 months) Amsterdam Area, NetherlandsMarket Researcher @ At the GDCC office in Rotterdam, Netherlands, I carried out telephonic market research in
Sweden. The various research projects mainly involved B2B projects, both from the private
sector as well as from the European Commission. From October 2012 to December 2013 (1 year 3 months) Rotterdam Area, Netherlands
