💼 Past Experience

When I was first diagnosed with ovarian cancer, I felt like a weight had been lifted from my shoulders. I had always thought that ovarian cancer was an incomprehensible and deadly disease, but I now knew that I was not alone. I had the support of my loved ones andI was determined to fight for my life.There were many female ovarian cancer patients out there, and I was determined to makeup my story and be the voice of those patient voices. I started my own website, ovariancancerinfo.com, to provide information and support to others who are suffering from ovarian cancer. I have also authored a book, "Ovarian Cancer: The Facts" and am currently working on a follow-up book, "Ovarian Cancer: The Myths".I also started a charity called Ovarian Cancer Challenge to support patients and families living with ovarian cancer. We are working with partners to provide research and treatment for ovarian cancer, as well as provide donation and awareness cheeks for pediatric ovarian cancer patients.I am a cancer survivor and I am grateful for all that my team has done for me. I am forever grateful to my family, my friends, and my cancer patients who have supported me through this terrible time.

🎓 Education

Alexandra De Scheel studied cognitive semiotics and media studies at Aarhus Universitet from 2007 to 2009. She then completed a dual Bachelor of Arts degree, in Journalism and Sociology, at City University London from 2003 to 2006. De Scheel is a graduate of the International Baccalaureate program, which she completed from 1998 to 2002.
