💼 Past Experience

thesearchpractity.com FTC (Federal Trade Commission)In February of 2019, Alexa Cashetta joined the FTC as a Staff Sergeant. Alexa started her four-year stint with the FTC in February of 2017. her earliest affiliation with the FTC was as an Executive Director, R&D Search Practice in the Department of Regulations and Policy within the Directorate of Staffing (now Directorate of Operations). Cashetta leads the DSRP which is the resource development unit for the FTC’s Regulatory Affairs Program. In her previous role, she was responsible for all aspects of R&D Search Practice activities including design, development, and implementation of new and innovative search strategies. In this role, she also exerted a direct impact on the entire proceeding of FTC rulemakings. Cashetta has also been responsible for initiating and managing many legal representation efforts for FTC staff members.

🎓 Education

Since September 2022, Alexa Cashetta has been a hospitality Tourism Management student at James Madison University. At JMU, Alexa was a part of the hospitality marketing program that provides students with the opportunity to learn about and work in the industry.Since her arrival to James Madison University, Alexa has made an impact in the community by volunteering with various organizations. She has involved herself in the Nutritional Education Program and served as the Ambassador for the Native American Student Union (NUSU). Additionally, Alexa has served as a graduate preceptor for the Business MBA program and has been teaching hotel marketing classes as an adjunct professor.AlexaCashetta's future goals include working in the hospitality industry and contributing to her community. She has a passion for helping others and is excited to continue her education and contribute to theJames Madison University community.
