From October 2013 to April 2014 (7 months) Interim Resourcing Advisor @ The Brakes Group is a leading supplier to the foodservice sector in the UK, Ireland, France and Sweden. They were spending a fortune on upgrading their network capacity and I was lucky enough to get the "gig" for staffing the first phase of their 250,000sq/ft warehouse. This was a great job - my first real experience of volume, front-line recruitment (with a fair bit of ad-hoc employee/internal comms thrown in as well) and they trusted me to design and deliver the recruitment programme....which I did. Whilst here I (basically) delivered the finance graduate intake for 2013. It was rather enjoyable - and they asked me back, which was a good sign. I took over the Manchester team and led an increase in revenues by 30+% in H2 2012 compared to H1. From June 2012 to February 2013 (9 months) Manchester, United KingdomManaging Consultant @ Sphere Group is a Search & Selection boutique specialising in finance and supply chain appointments. I joined the Manchester finance team and, essentially, learned now to head-hunt properly and really got a very strong grip on proactive talent identification, approach and pipeline/pooling. From November 2010 to April 2012 (1 year 6 months) Manager @ Manchester was the first MWA office outside of the south-east and the first step in an expansion plan that created nationwide coverage for the group. This was my most enjoyable agency role - I somehow managed to get a great team together (one of whom has deservedly done rather well in-house and has employed me twice since), launch/grow the team and do lots of good things regionally.
