Adaptable, self motivated and always willing to take the initiative; always driven by the same attitude: work hard, make a good impression and help others wherever possible.
Was named 'NEON Student of the Year 2014' at the Houses of Parliament after obtaining 1st Degree Honours at Leeds Metropolitan University, reading Retail Marketing Management BA(Hons).
During my time at University, I realised one of my ambitions to set up and manage a successful volunteering project - The Primary School Project grew rapidly from its conception in October 2010; at its peak in December 2012, the project:
- Supported three Leeds Primary Schools
- Recruited 38 volunteers - the majority trainee teachers
- Developing the literacy and language aptitude of 60+ struggling 4-9 year olds
- In some of Leeds' most challenging communities
Ultimately very rewarding and a lot of fun, the project demonstrated that I don’t shy away from a challenge and can shine within new and unfamiliar environments - Primary Education previously not being one of my "areas of expertise".

From August 2011 to August 2013 (2 years 1 month) Exhibitor for the Future of Convenience @ The IFE (International Food & Drink Event) is the worlds largest Food and Drink exhibition.
As a team of ambitious, dedicated and somewhat opinionated students; our team of six were approached to research what we envisage the Convenience Store of 2020 to look like and how its features would benefit the consumer.
Our end result was to become one of the headlining features at the 2013 IFE Exhibition at the ExCel London, where we presented our thoughts on an interactive 9x8m stand
The project has seen us liaise closely with IFE event organisers, University Professors, Graphic Designers and Builders to ensure our ideas (backed up with academic research and trade forecasts) are communicated exactly how the team would like.
Other communications include our relationship with PR agency, Storm PR who are actively promoting the exhibition opportunity.
We are the first set of students to present and hold a dedicated stand at the IFE and were in attendance throughout the event between March 17th - 20th 2013 answering questions and talking visitors through our concept store.
My additional involvement at the IFE saw me represent the student team on stage at 'The Hub', the conference stand at the exhibition in front of an audience of 100+. The session offered industry experts an opportunity to ask questions regarding our conception and execution of the Future of Convenience stand.
Press Pieces can be seen attached. From March 2013 to March 2013 (1 month) Leeds Met. Social Projects Director @ Formally known as SIFE (Students In Free Enterprise) my tenure with Enactus started in October 2010 when I founded the SIFE Primary Schools volunteering Project at Leeds Met.
With the simple ambition to establish a way of reading one-on-one with "a school child" to develop their skill and give something back to Leeds; the project quickly evolved from the activity of 4 volunteers and I. At it's peak, the project incorporated 37 Primary Education and (Educational) Professional Studies students at one time, developing language and literacy skills amongst 5 - 9 year old pupils within 3 Leeds primary schools.
The more hands, the greater the impact.
The pupils whose development the project supported were pre-selected by teachers; the work of the project was to measure pupil progress and aim to exceed improvements in reading level, language aptitude and general confidence across the calendar of the school year.
Since establishing a toolkit of support, my role was to recruit, manage the ever-growing team and liaise with schools to activate our successful support directly benefiting c.60 young pupils across 5 years groups.
