Alen Malkoc’s career as an entrepreneur began in the early days of theInternet when he co-founded a startup called DotLoop. DotLoop was a social networking website and online marketplaces used by students, entrepreneurs and tech workers across the United States.In 2007, Malkoc moved to Europe to found a startup called Abello. Abello was an online learning platform that allowed users to study any subject they wanted in any language and at any pace.Malkoc first came to prominence when he was selected as the Chief Technology Officer for nCrowd, Inc., a company founded by Reid Hoffman and Marc Andreessen. nCrowd was instrumental in helping to create the first digital marketing agency in history and helped to spearhead the original wave of Silicon Valley startups that went on to become some of the world’s most successful companies.Malkoc has led product development for a number of high-profile projects, including Her, the social networking site for women; Rdio, the music streaming service; and Sleep, the bedtime sleep disorder medication. He is also a co-founder of the “LinkedIn for Startups” accelerator and has been a speaker and panelist at a number of industry events. Malkoc has also been involved in a number of philanthropic projects, both within the tech industry and beyond. He has been a member of the boards of directors of the David Horowitz Freedom Center, the Wexford Center for Media and Culture, and the Jane Mayer Institute for Journalism Education. Malkoc also serves on the board of directors for the Young Israelis for America.

Born in 1993, Alen Malkoc is a multidisciplinary artist and designer. Malkoc was born in Chicago, Illinois and has been living in New York City since the age of five. Malkoc's first exposure to art and design came when he was a child. In sixth grade, Malkoc began carving small pieces of wood out of fake logs. Malkoc found this activity to be captivating and soon became known in his school as the " carving kid." Malkoc passion for art and design developed when he was in high school. In his senior year of high school, Malkoc won a scholarship to attend Northwestern University.Malkoc had an amazing experience at Northwestern University. He was accepted into the students’Art program and found himself learning with some of the most famous designers and artists in the world. Malkoc was able to work with some of the top designers, including MOMO Design, Kanye West, Ross Perot, and Rei Kawakubo. Malkoc was also surrounding himself with very talented artists, whom he was able to learn from and pass on his skills to. Malkoc Ended up winning a world-renowned award for his design work, which spurred his passion for design even more.Malkoc is currently working as an artist and designer in New York City. He has continued to develop his skills and has now come to be recognized as one of the most talented young artists in the world. Malkoc is always looking to learn and grow, and he knows that his skills and experiences at Northwestern University will help him to reach his full potential as an artist and designer.
