💼 Past Experience

Alain Mary has worked in a number of different industries and positions before finally landing at Société de trading commodities as Purchasing Practice Director. This years sees him working as the Director of Purchasing at GDF SUEZ SA, where he is responsible for all aspects of procuring and overseeing the company’s purchasing practices. Previously, Alain Mary was also responsible for the Strategic sourcing function at LVMH, where he supervised the purchase of a wide range of products and services. As Vice President France at Sapiens, Alain Mary was also in charge of all aspects of the company’s initiatives in the field of innovation and cutting-edge technology. In October 2000, Alain Mary quit Air France to take up a position ascoordinateur et chef de projet at Air France. There he developed a range of Air France initiatives, such as the introduction of the elite range of direct flights. In 1988, Alain Mary completed his education at the University of Technology, France, where he obtained a degree in Information Technology.

Alain Mary began his professional career in the purchasing practices at Société de trading commodities. He has been with GDF SUEZ SA since June 2008 and is responsible for the Purchasing Practice Directorate. In this role, Alain Mary is responsible for allocating, planning, implementing and monitoring the Purchasing Department's buying efforts. He also has responsibility for the strategic sourcing of products for GDF SUEZ SA. Alain Mary joined LVMH in January 2004 and was responsible for the Strategic sourcing department. From there, he served as Vice President France and was responsible for allocating, planning and implementing the Purchasing Department's strategic initiatives. Alain Mary also held HPC designate at Air France from November 1996 until May 2000. There, he was responsible for the coordination of projects and the production of jetliners for Air France.
