Early Stage Startups @ From June 2010 to Present (5 years 7 months) San Francisco Bay AreaInstructor @ From the Spring of 2007 until the Spring of 2010, I was a Teacher's Assistant for Introduction to Business Finance (FIN 3403) under Professor T. Craig Tapley. In the Spring of 2010, I developed the curriculum for and taught Digital Frontiers (IDH 3931), the first class at UF which discussed how the Internet and globalization are affecting the business world. The course was built around a series of guest lectures by speakers from local venture-backed startups and case studies developed by the students in groups. As a final project, working in groups of 4, the class developed Internet marketing plans for 7 local businesses - ranging from non-profits to restaurants to educational programs. Two of the groups were featured on the regional news for greatly raising the visibility of their client in the course of the project and three of the students were hired into roles at major firms developing social media strategy based on their experience. From December 2007 to May 2010 (2 years 6 months) Founder @ We provide product and marketing advisory services to Internet-based startups helping businesses develop an overall online marketing strategy. From 2009 to 2010 (1 year) Co-Founder, Social Business Initiative @ Working closely with Prayas India, we launched a social business selling locally made handicrafts to corporations in the US and India. The revenue stream generated from their sales will go back into empowering the homeless and impoverished by providing the children of India with monetary resources to gain proper education and their families with an income. CGIU: 2009, 2010 From 2008 to 2008 (less than a year) Founder @ Perfect Wave Records was one of the first donation-based record labels helping bands better monetize the relationships with their fans while giving away music for free. From 2003 to 2007, we produced over 100 concert events across the South East US with audiences ranging from 20 to 2000 in addition to managing a small roster of Florida-based bands.
