I graduated from the University of Notre Dame in May of 2014 with an Accounting degree from the top-ranked Mendoza College of Business. I am a Masters of Science in Accountancy candidate for the class of 2015 from the University of Notre Dame.
I plan on sitting for the CPA exam in the spring/summer of 2015.
I have interned in the University of Notre Dame Investment Office the last 4 summers where I have gained valuable project management, interpersonal and teamwork experience. I have worked 10 hours/week during the last three school years, balancing time in the office with school work and other extracurricular activities.
My main responsibility the last two years has been in Exposure Reporting. In this role I am responsible for locating fund manager documents either in the office database or on fund manager websites, conscientiously entering geographic, currency, industry, market capitalization, and strategy exposure data and performing quick analysis of the data. I carry out these tasks for 90+ funds making up a significant portion of the university's $9B endowment. In performing these duties I collaborate with Director of Accounting, Investment Director, and Investment Associates to determine process guidelines.
I was a Resident Assistant in Siegfried Hall during my senior year at Notre Dame. I honed my leadership abilities during this time while setting an acceptable environment that was in line with the university's mission along with the other hall staff members. I interacted with residents of all educational classes on a daily basis and helped guide them through the year. Weekly hall staff meetings, where we decided on dorm events and disciplinary actions to take, gave me invaluable teamwork skills.
