Re-designed large sections of the telephony system and phone call routing software to allow dedicated and pooled Client Services reps to support multiple whitelabeled partners. Used this functionality to write a custom OpenCTI Canvas integration for Salesforce which was optimized for Client Services' needs.Designed and implemented real-time and batch Salesforce ETL synchronization solution on top of Scala. Also proposed architectures for email marketing delivery and content rendering system. Proposed, designed, and implemented sales, marketing, BI, and customer data analysis system utilizing Amazon Redshift.Enjoys communicating with wide array of stakeholders in Technology, Product, Client Services, Operations, Sales, Marketing, and OEM partners to understand requirements and ensure satisfaction. From September 2013 to March 2016 (2 years 7 months) Austin, TXCo-Founder & Product Manager @ Duramec LLC Led the development of a number of integrated products providing data acquisition and control system functionality for harsh outdoor applications.Designed and manufactured electronic circuitry, software, and enclosure for a low-cost, high-performance embedded data acquisition system and control output system. Solution was hard realtime via a multicore microprocessor and supported multiple 4-20mA current, 0-100mV+0-120V, AC/DC, and TTL serial for both inputs and outputs. Support for these standards was plug and play and required no configuration from the user. The device was the size of a credit card, consumed sub-1W of power, was usable in temperature range of -40° to +85°C, provided GPS location, wireless atomic clock NTP level 0 time synchronization, and supported a convenient HTTP web server over 10/100 ethernet. Most software was custom written as the microcontroller did not support a microkernel or operating system. Number of IOPs was on the order of 100K/second.Built a low-latency, shardable event log style database for storing time series events on top of Scala, Akka, and LevelDB.Led team which designed and manufactured high-performance touch screen computer for human control of systems in harsh outdoor conditions. Device had no moving parts except a high-grade automotive pump which was the basis of our own internally designed liquid cooling system. System allowed our custom formulation of coolant to keep the server-class hardware operational in ambient temperatures of -40°C to +50°C.Prototyped a rugged MANET-style wifi network product for transmitting data across large fields, as well as an inexpensive industrial gauge which utilized Duramec's I/O hardware. From April 2009 to September 2013 (4 years 6 months) Edmond, OKConsultant @ ISG Global Created custom CMMS maintenance integrations for aerospace, oil & gas, government institutions, agriculture and manufacturers. Worked with IBM Maximo, Infor EAM, along with a wide variety of application servers such as IBM Websphere, JBoss, and BEA Weblogic, as well as database backends of SQL Server and Oracle.Developed custom mobile handheld software for in-field maintenance workers to be integrated into business processes in real time. Wrote custom reporting solutions for clients in SQL, Java EE, ASP.NET, and Access.Designed and implemented Asterisk phone system for company and worked on integration with PRI and Telco provider. Introduced virtual machine based system for testing deployments for clients. From September 2007 to April 2009 (1 year 8 months) Bakersfield, CASoftware Developer @ Auditude (acquired by Adobe) Modernized C/C++ Linux radio tuner/recorder for nationwide system used to automatically detect ads on local radio & television along with national television networks. From June 2006 to November 2006 (6 months) Los Angeles, CASoftware Development Summer Intern @ Baker Hughes Drilling Fluids (acquired by GE) • Designed prototype down-hole PVT fluid compressibility calculator to be used by rig-hands• Increased speed of fluid compressibility runtime calculation and accuracy, using RK 45 instead of Euler’s method. This could be executed on laptop in a few seconds, whereas existing product took quad-core Xeon 6+ hours to execute. From June 2005 to August 2005 (3 months) Houston, Texas AreaQuality Assurance Summer Intern @ BindView (acquired by Symantec) • Converted CSV-based test framework to XML to allow hierarchical test cases• Proposed and built data-driven network simulator in C# to test CVE vulnerability product. Test run could take over 8 hours with full network scans, in contrast to ~5-10 minutes with prototype. This was a 50-100x speed improvement.• Primary investigator for QA on Solaris portion of product From June 2004 to August 2004 (3 months) Houston, Texas AreaPhysics Research Student @ Harvey Mudd College Worked on upgrading C++ control system and reducing error of the university's experimental 1300nm, 3.5D (3D + Brownian motion) en-face optical coherence microscope. Microscope was used for realtime, non-invasive and non-destructive 3D imaging of biological embryos. From September 2005 to May 2006 (9 months) Claremont, CASenior Software Engineer @ Chime From January 2019 to November 2020 (1 year 11 months) Austin, TX
