Patrick is an internationally respected business leader with more than 30 years’ experience in the hotel industry. During his distinguished career, Patrick has worked with companies such as InterContinental Hotels Group, Hilton International and Pan Pacific Hotels Group. His achievements include: capital restructures, investments in developing countries, integrating hotel management companies, businesses and brands. He has received many honors and accolades for his corporate achievements and involvement in the community. Patrick now runs a private investment company from Singapore and Sydney, as well as serving as an advisor for organizations in the US and Asia.
Most recently, Patrick drove the growth and later privatization of one of Asia’s largest hotel management and ownership companies, Pan Pacific Hotels Group (PPHG), which had a market capitalization of $1.5bn. During his time as PPHG chief executive, Patrick successfully established both the Pan Pacific and PARKROYAL hotel brands in North America, China, Japan, Southeast Asia and Australia. Prior to that, Patrick was Asia Pacific CEO of InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), a FTSE 100 PLC in the UK. During his leadership, IHG became the largest and most established hotel brand and management company in Asia Pacific. Patrick headed the team that solidified the brands of InterContinental, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn into leadership positions throughout the region and engineered the joint venture between IHG and ANA Hotels to form the largest foreign hotel management company in Japan.
Patrick has a Master of Finance (Honors) from Baruch College - The City University of New York and is a member of the prestigious Beta Gamma Sigma. He is a member of the World Presidents’ Organization (WPO), as well a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Singapore Institute of Directors.
