Vineyard Theatre has consistently premiered provocative, groundbreaking works by both new and established writers. Notable new plays and musicals include the Tony Award-winning AVENUE Q by Robert Lopez, Jeff Marx and Jeff Whitty; Kander and Ebb’s THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS; Bowen and Bell's [title of show], Nicky Silver’s THE LYONS — all of which went on to Broadway runs — Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' GLORIA, Peter Lerman and Michael Mayer's BROOKLYNITE, Tarell Alvin McCraney's WIGOUT!, Becky Mode's FULLY COMMITTED, Christopher Shinn's WHERE DO WE LIVE, Jenny Schwartz's GOD's EAR, Gina Gionfriddo's AFTER ASHLEY, Will Eno's MIDDLETOWN, and two Pulitzer Prize-winning dramas, Paula Vogel's HOW I LEARNED TO DRIVE and Edward Albee's THREE TALL WOMEN. Our artistic development programs and award-winning arts-in-education programs serve hundreds of artists and students each season.
